NLM Associate Fellows 2020-2021

The Countrywide Library of Medicine (NLM), the world’s premier biomedical library and a part of the Countrywide Institutes of Wellbeing, is delighted to announce our 2020-2021 course of Affiliate Fellows.

Amanda J. The Affiliate Fellowship System is a residency fellowship at NLM on the campus of the NIH in Bethesda, Maryland. Brianna Chatmon

Brianna Chatmon gained her MLIS at the College of Missouri in 2020. Whilst acquiring her degree, Chatmon interned at the J. Otto Lottes Wellbeing Sciences Library. For the duration of her internship she worked on different assignments to improve her qualified network and build a deeper expertise of clinical librarianship. Chatmon helped create quick stick to alongside digital tutorials to guide wellness industry experts and clinical learners in their databases lookups.  Chatmon also assisted with group wellness outreach things to do at regional and community conferences. Additionally, Chatmon, worked at Hugh Stephens library the place she helped coordinate regular monthly library programming and interactive exhibits and assisted with a stack routine maintenance challenge to downsize a 300,000-reserve collection digitally and bodily. Chatmon holds a BG in Liberal Arts and Science from the College of Kansas.

 

Allison Cruise

Allison Cruise gained her MLIS from the College of North Carolina at Greensboro in December 2019. Whilst finishing her degree, she worked as an intern at the North Carolina Biotechnology Heart, engaging in data entry duties, providing doc shipping and delivery services and assisting investigate analysts and library readers. Whilst at North Carolina Biotechnology Heart, she became a whole-time investigate affiliate, retaining a shopper databases, assisting with an embedded librarianship contract and providing literature lookups and other investigate initiatives. She holds a BS in Psychology from the College of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. 

 

Levi Dolan

Levi Dolan gained his MLIS from the College of Missouri-Columbia in the Spring of 2020.  At MU, he was the graduate library assistant for the J. Otto Lottes Wellbeing Sciences Library and a investigate assistant for the Countrywide Network of Libraries of Medicine.  For the duration of his time in library faculty, he also worked as a library supervisor and tutor at Stephens College in Columbia, MO.  For his practicum, he was a teaching assistant and co-challenge supervisor for a Library Carpentries workshop held in St. Louis, sponsored by the Missouri Hub of the Electronic Public Library of The united states.  He was elected president of MU’s ALA University student Chapter for 2018-2019, and served on the College Libraries University student Advisory Committee.  He holds a BTh in Theology from Ozark Christian College.

 

Amanda Sawyer

Amanda Sawyer will graduate with her MLIS from the College of Pittsburgh in August 2020. Sawyer has a track record in archives and electronic services in both equally museums and libraries. She has worked as the Electronic Initiatives Assistant at Gumberg Library, Duquesne College considering that 2018 the place she contributes to data investigation and visualization initiatives, manages electronic collections and assists with university’s institutional repository, and offers reference services. Sawyer holds a BA in Record, Songs, and Chinese and an MA in Museum Studies from Baylor College.
